In this scenario, The App Date has implemented all the experience and knowledge gained over the years to launch The App Date US, a new channel to discover Spanish-speaking-high-quality Apps of every kind of content and devices: “From expert’s collections about kids, health, kitchen, etc. to content and reviews done by professionals”, Hormigos explain., kitchen, etc. to content and reviews done by professionals”, Hormigos explain.
Within a market of 500 million Spanish speaking persons, with 54 million of these, living in the US, the Hispanic universe leads as on the most attractive markets for new technologies. The figures confirm this: 2.8 billions of dollars were spent in the App market of hispanicphones, only during the last year, in part, by the high smartphones penetration, a 45% in 2014; while the economic growth rate has been estimated in more than a 23% for the next 3 years. However, despite these encouraging indicators, less than 5% of the apps content is available in Spanish.
As a letter of presentation for the US launch of The App Date US website, and with the collaboration of Google Developers, The App Date US event will be celebrated, within the framework of the Google I/O, the meeting for developers, programmers, and creatives worldwide, where they will discover, discuss and present the latest trends in technologies and mobile applications. It is also the first step of a global agreement between The App Date and Google, which will be materialized soon in the new promotional activities of the The App Date network.
The App Date US has planned for the event, an unorthodox and entertaining program, that will follow its casual structure and will be featured by talks of Paco Solsona, Developer Relations Program Manager at Google; Kuki Bastos, Kidu creator, app aimed for parents, whose motto is “Together we learn”; Santiago Zavala, Partner in 500.CO who will show “Five regional super high impact Apps”; Peter Sorrentino, Ecosystem & LATAM Community Developer at SenGrid; and Ricardo Llavador , Executive Creative Director at LIQUID, who will close the event with a hilarious talk of “useless and subdevelopers” intended to provoke a fun moment. After the presentations, and as usual in the The App Date format, it will start the networking space and the opportunity to follow up the conversation in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
